Superior quality 100% pure Ceylon Tea Natural Ingredients Free from artificial additives

Ocean Breeze is pure Ceylon OP1 black tea from the sun-warmed lowlands of Ruhuna, where ocean breezes and rich soils shape leaf that is thin, wiry and beautifully twisted.

Steep it patiently and the cup opens into a bright ruby-orange liquor with a soft forest aroma and a naturally sweet, flowery character that stays mild and easy to love. A gentle everyday black tea for slow mornings and quiet afternoons.

How to brew Ocean Breeze

From the sunny low-grown gardens of Ruhuna near Ceylon's southern coast, our thin, wiry OP1 leaf unfurls into a bright ruby-orange cup that is naturally sweet and floral. Water just off the boil and 3 to 5 minutes let the long leaf open fully.

Brewer's note

Sweet, flowery and beautifully mild — a smooth, easy-drinking cup for any time of day. Steep 3 minutes to keep it light and floral, or the full 5 for a rounder, sweeter brew. The long leaf is generous enough for a second, slightly shorter infusion. Delicious black or with a touch of honey to lift the floral sweetness. For milk, steep the full 5 minutes and add it after brewing.

Where It's Grown

Ruhuna lies in Sri Lanka's deep south, where tea gardens roll across warm lowlands within reach of the Indian Ocean breeze. Below 600 metres, tropical warmth lets the leaf grow fast and long, and low-grown Ruhuna tea is prized for its handsome leaf, natural sweetness and generous, honeyed depth.

Our Ocean Breeze (OP1 grade) brings this character to the cup: sweet, flowery and mild.

Elevation below 600 m
Monsoon Both monsoons
Best season February – April

Watered by both the southwest monsoon (May to September) and the northeast monsoon (December to February), Ruhuna is harvested right through the year. The drier spell from February to April brings its brightest, most fragrant flushes.
